Max Remedial CBD to close March 2021

Whats Happening:

  • CBD Clinic to close March 21st

  • New study direction for Peter Furness

  • Forest Lodge becomes the home of Max Remedial

It's time for a change.  It's time to establish something new.  It's time for a new direction.

After over 13 years in Sydney's CBD it is with a somewhat bittersweet happiness that I announce that it's time to relocate.  Having spent years learning the ropes of managing my own business, then expanding that into being a Director and then onto establishing Max Remedial as a quality home of bodywork and Remedial therapy in the heart of Sydney, its time for a shake up and a new direction.

Why you ask?  I'm super thrilled to announce that I'll be beginning my Bachelor of Physiotherapy at University of Western Sydney in March 2021.   It's something I've been reflecting on for some time now and I feel I am really ready to make that shift into becoming a Primary Provider and a member of the wider Allied Health Industry.  I can't wait to expand my knowledge, understanding and clinical practice.

Having established a wonderfully diverse, loyal and inspiring client base in the Sydney CBD, it is has been a hard decision to surrender my CBD base and bid farewell to my city presence.  I've been so pleased and grateful for the support of so many clients and practitioners who have helped make my CBD clinics a wonderfully successful and respected centre of remedial therapy. Whilst this move may signal a loss of some treasured relationships, I am super proud of the loyalty and success of Max Remedial CBD and look forward to the challenge of re-establishing a new base in the inner west of Sydney.

In February, Peter will be joining the team at Health Space Rozelle.  This clinic is a talented centre in the inner western suburbs and I'm super excited to be working alongside Dr Scott Bessant and his fellow team of allied health practitioners.   I will be available as Remedial Massage Therapist at Health Space Rozelle on Mondays/Tuesdays and Saturdays as I work my way through my degree.

Max Remedial will continue to operate albeit at a reduced operation from the Forest Lodge location in the inner west with casual hours in and around my study schedule.  Some evening appointments will be available on Tuesdays/Wednesdays as well as Saturday afternoons.  I look forward to welcoming any of my CBD clients there if they need help and continued Remedial Therapy needs.

The clinic will continue to run as normal until our closing date on March 21st.  Peter will be reducing his workload as of March 1st as University kicks off, available on Mondays before the doors shut on March 21st. The rest of our team will be staying on until the closure in March and availability is still online via our booking pages and website.

It's been quite a ride.  I'm so grateful and elated for my time in the CBD and very much looking forward to what lies ahead with this next step in my career.  Its been a hard decision to leave the city and my wonderful clients.  It's been such a pleasure and I have learnt so much about treating, working with people and being open to learning from my work.  I'd like to thank everyone for their support and kind words, gifts, referrals and good humour.  I will truly miss the vibe of the city practice and most of all, my clients.  I'm so grateful and hope to see as many of you as I can as I make the next shift and begin to establish myself in Rozelle.
